A partial reprint of a variety of RQ2 sources, Sun County launched the RQ Renaissance. Good artwork, high production quality, and solid content make this obvious. It contains extensive historical notes on Sun County and its culture, NPC profiles, and detailed encounter tables. Everything centers around the cult of Yelmalio, which is fully detailed. The scenarios are: Garhound Contest, Rabbit Hat Farm, Sun County Ruins, and Solinthor's Tower. A description of the Hazia plant, the shield push game and the accounts of Jaxarte Whyded finish the package. Prototype versions of the scenarios were published in Tales. We need to get the Australians to write more of this quality of material. It ties in nicely with Borderlands. Any scenario that has an evil Jack O'Bear named Pumpkinhead guarantees hours of fun. |
