Produktbeschreibung

17pdr SP Achilles - A lend-lease tank destroyer equipped with the potent 17pdr anti-tank gun. Its destructive killing power was respected by all enemy armour. Pack also includes 3in gun to make the M10. Pack contains 1 Tank Destroyer, 3 Crew and 1 Dismounted Crew figures.
The US M10 was first supplied to the British in 1944. Initially the M10 (on an M4A2 chassis) and M10A1 (on an M4A3 chassis) were supplied and designated "M10 3in SP" and was the same at that used by the US forces.
British M10s saw service in Italy and France. The Canadians were responsible for its popular nick-name "Wolverine", a name that has stuck with the M10 throughout post war literature.

Starting in mid 1944 many British M10s were upgunned with the excellent 17pdr gun. The new tank destroyers became designated "M10 17pdr MkIC" for the M10 and "M10 17pdr MkIIC" for the M10A1. It was often shortened to M10C and they were also known as Achilles. A few landed with the 7th Armoured Division in Normandy and saw much action.

The Pack:
The pack contains parts to make either the M10 or M10C. Inside you will find a 3in gun and a 17pdr gun and three British crew in the special tank helmet issued in 1944. The commander wears a beret.
