Flak panzerkampfwagen 38(t) - The versatile Pz38(t) chassis was pressed into service as the first Flakpanzer giving protection from marauding aircarft for the Panzers - Pack contains 1 Self Propelled Anti Aircraft Gun and 1 Dismounted Crew figures.
In 1939 Germany invaded Czechoslovakia and gained one of the, then, most sophisticated tank industries in the world producing a tank that in 1939 was one of the best in the world.
Immediately the German high command placed orders for this tank and used it extensively as a main battle tank in the invasions of France and her neighbours.
The name Panzer 38(t), comes from the year of introduction into the Czech army (1938) and the (t) is the German identifier for a Czechoslovakian made vehicle.
The Panzer 38(t) served throughout the war in various forms finding useful applications even in 1945. The Flakpanzer 38(t) was one.
In 1942/43 enemy airpower was becoming more significant on the Russian front and in North Africa.
One solution was to provide units with integral anti-aircraft defenses. The Flakpanzer 38(t) was created as part of the solution and became ready and was issued to units in Jan/Feb 1944. It served on both the Russian front and in the West against the British and US forces after they landed at Normandy.

Late war German Panzerkompanies can equip their Anti-aircraft Gun Platoons with the Flakpanzer 38(t). This weapons platoon provides armoured anti-aircraft cover for the panzers.
The Flakpanzer 38(t) is lightly armoured (F0, S0, T0) and armed with the 2cm FlaK 38 gun with ROF 4, AT 5, and FP 5+.
