First down were the convict "Cyclos" with the nero-regulators embedded in their skulls glowing like single red eyes. Next were the Talos units, cyborg warriors of gleaming beryllium-bronze, every action directed by the perfect logic of their cyberneural brains. Then the battlefield striders like giants with glossy skins of plasticated steel. Last down, more fragile than the rest, were the centions of regulars, some in laminated armour, others in padded enviro battle suits....
