Vinegar Joe's War (China-Burma-India Theater of Operations) simulates World War II in Malaya, Burma, Indochina and adjoining areas of India and China. In the early campaigns the Japanese overran Malaya, captured the strategic British base of Singapore and conquered Burma. Later campaigns saw the Japanese-=Allied struggle for the Indian frontier, the deployments of the Chindits, and the final Japanese grasp during the Imphal campaign, followed by the Allied counterattack that won victory in the theater.
While the game is simple enough to simulate the entire four years of the war in this theater, it includes all critical operations on land an in the air and covers special operations and logistical considerations. The object is to capture strategic locales and destroy enemy units.
