Odric, Master Tactician believes that you can find strength in your friends . . . particularly if your friends are a highly trained military fighting force! The aggressive "Path to Victory" deck swarms your opponent with a never-ending supply of reinforcements. Why cast a spell that gives you just one creature when you can cast Attended Knight for two creatures, Captain's Call for three creatures, or Captain of the Watch for four creatures all at once?
As long as you're recruiting Soldiers, you might as well take advantage of the size of your army. Each creature you put onto the battlefield causes Griffin Protector to get bigger and gains you more life with Healer of the Pride. The more creatures that are in your army, the bigger Crusader of Odric can be. Odric himself rewards you for attacking with a sizable force by allowing you to dictate how—or whether—your opponent blocks!
Blue's deceit adds a bit of mischief to white's regimented structure. Courtly Provocateur can trick your opponent into attacking or blocking the way you want. Downpour prevents creatures from attacking or blocking at all. Faerie Invaders shows up as a surprise blocker, then takes to the skies on offense. |
