Assault on Icecrown Citadel is the latest instalment in Cryptozoic’s series of Raid experiences featuring the namesake raid from Wrath of the Lich King. The Icecrown Citadel is the greatest fortress of the Scourge and the last bastion of the dreaded Lich King. Located in the frozen wastes of Icecrown on the continent of Northrend, the Citadel is inhabited by some of the strongest and vilest of the Lich King’s minions. A great army of the living dead stand between their dark master and those who seek to destroy him.
For the first time, players can take on the personas of famous World of Warcraft heroes in a raid environment. Assault on Icecrown Citadel is playable by up to 4 people right out of the box. There is one custom boss deck featuring the Lich King and 3 'player' decks featuring Highlord Tirion Fordring, Lady Jaina Proudmoore, and Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. All 3 of the hero decks are legal in regular Constructed play.
Each pack contains 9 foil gameplay cards that feature new items, abilities, and allies to collect. There are 30 new cards to collect through the treasure packs which include epic allies form the PC game: Muradin Bronzebeard and High Overlord Saurfang. This set also contains the legendary axe Shadowm
