Folio Series

Decision Games announces proudly a new product line, the DG Folio series. The folio game series takes only minutes to learn and once one game is played, players can immediately play many more scenarios with the same standard rules. Most folio games have a 17" x 22" map and 80-100 counters so set-up takes only a few minutes and most games take 60-90 minutes to play. The folio games are presented in a folio rather than a box for easy storage. Best of all is their low cost, less than half the cost of many boxed games and, with these special offers, even greater value!

Many gamers will remember the classic SPI folio and quad games. We have taken those classic games and updated the maps and counters to the latest full color artwork. Then we updated the rules systems to make for all new series and, finally, we added new games.

These games all come in a ziplock bag, with a pocketed folio folder, rules, 11x17 multi-coloured map, countersheet (80-140 1/2" counters, depending on the game), ziplock baggie for the counters, and a 8mm die. Very reminiscent of the old SPI folio series.

The American player may also control French and Spanish units if those nations enter the war. Instead of the full campaign game, players may also choose to play the shorter scenario that ends in 1779.

Chalons - The Fate of Europe

Throughout the mid-5th century AD, Attila’s Huns terrorized Europe. The skill of the Hun horsemen, particularly their accuracy with the composite bow while mounted, made them a veritable shock army. They continued to bring victory after victory to Attila, making him the master of Central Europe. After years of conquest, oppression and extortion, however, Attila’s recent invasion of Western Europe would be challenged: a remnant Roman army, under the command of Flavius Aetius, was sent to stop him... (vollständige Beschreibung)

Morning Defeat, Afternoon Victory - After crossing the Alps in 1800 and advancing into northern Italy, Napoleon overextended his army in an attempt to ambush a portion of the Austrian army. Misreading the situation, the hunter became the hunted when the main Austrian army in Italy, over 30,000 soldiers with 100 cannon, advanced against Napoleon's 18,000 troops and dozen cannon on the Marengo plain

Napoleon Encircled - Napoleon was, by 1813, the victim of his own success. His Grande Armee had ransacked most of Europe, but then the Prussians, Austrians, Russians, Swedes and others converged their armies, collectively known as the Sixth Coalition, around Leipzig in an attempt to annihilate Napoleon once and for all.

Chickamauga - River Of Death

River Of Death - Once again the Union Army of the Cumberland was in pursuit of Gen. Bragg's Army of the Tennessee, after the Confederate withdrawal from Chattanooga. Bragg's actual intention was to stand and fight. In fact, this time — indeed, for the first time — his army, heavily reinforced, actually outnumbered his pursuers. As the dispersed Federals deployed along the Chickamauga River, large numbers of Confederates assembled to strike the counter-blow. The Battle of Chickamauga would be the... (vollständige Beschreibung)

Stones River - Turning Point In Tennessee

Turning Point In Tennessee - The Union Army of the Cumberland had been pursing the Confederate Army of the Tennessee after the Battle of Perryville, in October 1862. Throughout November the Confederate commander, Braxton Bragg, had misinterpreted that pursuit as an effort to capture Chattanooga; so now he halted and deployed his troops northwest of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, so as to safeguard the road junction there. Thus the Confederates sat and awaited their pursuers for a month. When the Feder... (vollständige Beschreibung)

Wasted Opportunity - In June 1862, as Federal troops attempted to retreat after withdrawing from Gaine's Mill, Virginia, Gen. Robert E. Lee's army included most of the notable Confederate luminaries, such as "Stonewall" Jackson, "Old Pete" Longstreet, A. P. Hill and others, collectively fielding 45,000 men. The Farthest Bridge - In September 1944, Operation Market Garden was intended to open a direct path for the Allied armies to circumvent the West Wall and threaten Germany's industrial Ruhr heartland. British, American and Polish airborne forces were ordered to assault and capture key bridges along the main highway leading through Holland, the Arnhem bridge being the most distant of them all. Battle For Gazala - The Battle of Gazala, in May 1942, was arguably Rommel's most daring feat of generalship: British 8th Army had reached the limit of its supply line, but had heavily fortified the front from the Libyan coastal village of Gazala to the desolate outpost of Bir Hacheim, nearly 50 windswept miles to the south. The ever-resourceful Rommel, however, simply led the Afrikakorps still deeper into the desert, going around Bir Hacheim. Baptism Of Fire - By February 1943, much of the inexperienced US II Corps had been deployed along the trails leading through a small canyon known as Kasserine Pass. The US commander, Gen. Rommel was quick to recognize the opportunity to inflict a defeat on the untested Americans, and he soon mounted an offensive with two panzer divisions.

After the Confederate victory at Second Bull Run in August 1862, Stonewall Jackson led his wing of the Confederate army to get behind the retreating Federals and finish the job. Mud and fatigue slowed him just enough to allow some hastily-collected Federal units to get in position to stop him. The result was a confused battle near Chantilly. At stake was the survival of an entire Union army, or of Jackson's isolated Confederates.
