Players take the role of Barbarians or Knights and their leaders, the mighty Barbarian "UGH" and the well equipped "Sir Mondrian". From the ancient times of Pangea, Ugh dislikes Sir Mondrian. The Barbarians have maintained a close relation to nature and kept a tradition and lifestyle emerging from the stoneage. Sir Mondrian prefers an improved lifestyle. Good manners, fine clothing and luxury are important to him. For Sir Mondrian Ugh and his Barbarians are just silly primitive rednecks.
Recently matters escalated. Ugh ambushed a resource caravan led by Sir Mondrians brother "Lord Albright". Lord Albright was killed by accident in the combat for the caravan. Since then Sir Mondrian is up for revenge. Only one tribe can survive the epic struggle. Will it be you?
Heroes vs. Warlords is an empire building game for 2 to 3 players (in the Basic version). It can be expanded to a multiplayer game for an unlimited amount of players with several upcoming expansions.
The game map is constructed randomly out of 12 to 24 terrain tiles (only in the Basic version). Each game will have a different map, which results in that every game is new and challenging.
Explore the game map with your hero and his army.
Conquer resources, wear down enemy resistance, explore ruins. With these actions your hero wins experience points. Experience Points allow your hero to gain new levels and improve his skills.
Built your cities, increase your income and gain elite troops via special buildings. Are you up to the challenge? Or will your enemy outclass, outbuild and outdevelop you?
