Cubicle 7 Roleplaying Games

St Erisian's school for girls has stood for over a hundred years and survived war, plague, famine, demonic attack, strange explosions in the science block and countless attempts to get it closed by the government.

However, to be fair, not all of these disasters were the fault of the girls who study there.

Hellcats and Hockeysticks is a Role-playing game in which your characters are among the most feared and disreputable creatures of all—Schoolgirls! At St Erisian's, the girls are taught to be curious, forthright, inventive and above all, what they want to be, and to give hell to anyone who tries to stop them.

The game is designed to be fast-paced and fun, with plenty of oppotunities for chaos and destruction. Characters come from one of 9 'cliques' each with their own special ability and selection of skills. The system uses only 6-sided dice and is both simple and innovative.

Hellcats and Hockeysticks is a standalone RPG of chaos, anarchy and decidedly unladylike behaviour. It includes rules for all kinds of mayhem, from falling out with your friends, to creating weird science devices, to using magic and summoning demons and zombies. Are you ready for school adventures on the bad side of the tracks?

KURO RPG

I lost Miko during the Kuro incident. She was driving when the light from the missile exploded over Tokyo. It must have blinded her because her car was found wrapped around a tree, her body covered in petals fallen through the broken window.
When I found a message from her on my phone I thought it was just an old one I hadn't erased. I kept it, playing it back just to hear her voice. It helped, just a bit, to have a few moments when I could pretend that she was still alive. But more messages starting appearing on my phone. Now I just want them to stop.
Because the girl who keeps sending them isn't Miko, and she won't stop screaming.
The year is 2046, and something dark has returned to Japan. With an international blockade set up around the beleaguered country following the Kuro Incident, there is no escape. In addition to the meteorological side-effects of the Incident, some people have noticed a sharp rise in disturbing, mysterious and supernatural occurrences. The authorities refuse to acknowledge such obvious sensationalist delusions. Do you have the strength to face the nightmares?
Kuro is the core rulebook of a new near-future game setting influenced by unremitting Japanese horror. Dare you stare into the darkness?
The Kuro Incident - Miracle or Curse? Only time will tell how history will remember the events of 4th May 2046. The accidental launch of a Panasiatic Federation nuke at Japan would have devastated the country, but we were saved from this fate when the missile vanished seconds before impact. But saved by what? The violent winds and electromagnetic storm which followed offer clues to the event that science has yet to decipher. Some people have reverted to ancient superstition to explain what happened, muttering about spirits and the 'Wind of the Gods'. But such is always the case in times like these, especially as the consequences of the blockade grow more severe. Personally, I'm sure that we'll find a diplomatic solution before the year is out and, at the very least, not being nuked will always seem like the better option!

Lone Wolf Adventure Game

In the northern land of Sommerlund, it has been the custom for many centuries to send the children of the Warrior Lords to the monastery of Kai. There they are taught the skills and disciplines of their noble fathers.

The Kai monks are masters of their art, and the children in their charge love and respect them in spite of the hardships of their training. For one day when they have finally learnt the secret skills of the Kai, they will return to their homes equipped in mind and body to defend themselves against the constant threat of war from the Darklords of the west.

In olden times, during the Age of the Black Moon, the Darklords waged war on Sommerlund. The conflict was a long and bitter trial of strength that ended in victory for the Sommlending at the great battle of Maakengorge. King Ulnar and the allies of Durenor broke the Darklord armies at the pass of Moytura and forced them back into the bottomless abyss of Maakengorge. Vashna, mightiest of the Darklords, was slain upon the sword of King Ulnar, called 'Sommerswerd', the sword of the sun. Since that age, the Darklords have vowed vengeance upon Sommerlund and the House of Ulnar.

Starblazer Adventures

"Enough galactic conspiracies, star creatures, space fleets, swashbuckling scientists and alien war worlds to keep you and your friends busy for years"
—Ian Livingstone

Starblazer Adventures is based on the classic British comic series Starblazer from the 1970s and '80s. Each of Starblazer's 281 issues explored a whole adventure set within the vast galactic empires of the far future, giving this massive 632-page roleplaying game from Cubicle 7 Entertainment a wide variety of settings to explore. From low-fi space exploration to galaxy-busting wars to space fantasy epics at the end of time, there is plenty for everyone.

Starblazer Adventures is powered by the critically acclaimed FATE rules system. FATE was recently seen in action with Evil Hat Productions' popular Spirit of the Century RPG and has been tweaked to give Starblazer players the full intergalactic meal deal. FATE lets you leave the maths behind and really focus on exciting stories. There are many options to let you skip the more detailed rules and keep it light and fast or play starships, star monsters and even whole empires just like characters. For those familiar with FATE we’ve added new FATE rules for alien powers, robots, vehicles, starships, giant war machines, empires, equipment, careers and more.

The core release includes three detailed settings based on the very best stories from Starblazer. It details recurring characters, organisations, empires and aliens such as the Fi-Sci (the Fighting Scientists of Galac Squad), The Star Patrol, The Suicide Squad, The Planet Tamer, Cinnibar the barbarian warrior of Babalon and galactic cop Frank Carter to name just a few.

Choose from 8 alien races or play whole star empires! There are over 100 worlds, 70 heroes, alien races, monsters and starships. There’s an introductory adventure and tons of support for Story Tellers including adventure seeds, several plot & planet generators and over 400 pieces of inspirational art! Watch out for online adventures, supplements and adventure tools.

Published by British publisher D.C. Thompson, the original Starblazer comic was the home to some of the best British science fiction space opera of the 1970s and '80s. Featuring stunning art and classic space opera stories, comic creators such as Grant Morrison and John Smith, artists Enrique Alcatena, Mike McMahon, Cam Kennedy, John Ridgeway, Alan Rogers, Jaime Oritz, Ian Kennedy, Colin MacNeil and Casanovas Junior helped bring the fantastic "spacefiction adventure in pictures" to life. Over 400 pieces of Starblazer art from these heroes of sci-fi art have been used throughout the book to bring the world of Starblazer Adventures to life.

So don't miss out—Starblazer Adventures is your gateway to a rock-'n-roll sci-fi adventure that will bring friends together as you save the galaxy in new and dangerous ways!

Summerland RPG

Welcome to Summerland, a role-playing game of desolation and redemption beneath the Sea of Leaves. The world has changed. The Event brought the Sea of Leaves into our world, an immense forest that choked cities and drowned civilisation overnight. From the trees came the Call, a lure to the weak that left only pockets of humanity remain, resisting the woods' siren song. In the endless forests lurk the Lost, those whose wills were drowned by the Call, and the Wild, who have forgotten they were ever human. Can you be one of the select few who can resist the Call?

The Laundry Files RPG

CAPITAL LAUNDRY SERVICES WHAT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED UP?

There are things out there, in the weirder reaches of space-time where reality is an optional extra. Horrible things, usually with tentacles. Al-Hazred glimpsed them, John Dee summoned them, HP Lovecraft wrote about them, and Alan Turing mapped the paths from our universe to theirs. The right calculation can call up entities from other, older universes, or invoke their powers. Invisibility? Easy! Animating the dead? Trivial! Binding lesser demons to your will? Easily doable!

Opening up the way for the Great Old Ones to come through and eat our brains? Unfortunately, much too easy.

That's where the Laundry comes in it's a branch of the British secret service, tasked to prevent hideous alien gods from wiping out all life on Earth (and more particularly, the UK). You work for the Laundry. The hours are long, the pay is sub-par, the co-workers areE interesting (in the Chinese curse sense of the word), and the bureaucracy is stifling but you do get to wave basilisk guns and bullet wards around, and to go on challenging and exciting missions to exotic locations like quaint, legend-haunted Wigan, cursed Slough and Wolverhampton where the walls are thin.

You may even get to save the world.

Just make sure you get a receipt.

THE LAUNDRY roleplaying game is based on the award-winning Laundry series (THE ATROCITY ARCHIVES, THE JENNIFER MORGUE, THE FULLER MEMORANDUM) by the even-more-award-winning CHARLES STROSS, and uses the also-award-winning BASIC ROLEPLAYING SYSTEM (CALL OF CTHULHU).

Victoriana

It was dangerous to walk through the Smoke after dark, especially through back alleys choked with the thick yellow fog that inspired London’s nickname. Nevertheless Lady Charlotte, following the short chimbley sweep’s lead, pressed on, determined to discover the secret of the Southwark Horror.

She didn’t have long to wait. As they turned a corner, both of them heard the rhythmic clicking of steel on stone. Something was scuttling over the cobblestones in the dark, something quite monstrous. The chimbley sweep raised his gas lantern to no avail; nothing could penetrate the yellow-green haze that surrounded them.

‘Don’t worry, Guv’ness! ‘e won’t get away from us!” he exclaimed, darting into the fog.

‘Percy, wait!’

Lady Charlotte thrust out her arm out to stop him, but it was too late. She felt a sudden sense of dread as the all-too-curious Halfling disappeared in the pea souper, a feeling confirmed by the child-like scream of the chimbley sweep as his body flew back out of the fog like a rag doll struck by a cricket bat. Unfortunately, she had no time to check as to whether her guide was alive or dead.

From within the fog came the angry hissing of steam and more scuttling. Lady Charlotte gasped as the silhouette of the monstrosity became visible, a giant, mechanical spider that scraped against the sides of the rookery walls as it lurched toward her.

Lady Charlotte steeled herself and concentrated as her pale right hand exploded with crackling blue eldritch energy. She determined that tonight would see the end of the foul beast, even if it destroyed her.

Victoriana – a world of high adventure and intrigue in an age of sorcery and steam!

The year is 1856 and the world roils in the unseen conflict between Order and Entropy. As technology marches forward the Celestial Engine moves ever faster, and all our fates grow more precarious. Now is the time to act decisively and boldly, to seize control of your destiny and impose your will upon the world.

Your adventures will take you into an alternate history infused with fantasy and esoteric steam technology. Aerostats float across the sky as noble Eldren chat with industrial Dwarfs. The Age of Magic may be long gone, but the Guild keeps its embers alive while technologists create extraordinary mechanical marvels.

Travel with the British East India Company to make your fortune in competition with Dutch merchants for control of the tea trade. Join the petty conjurers that support social revolution while the government calls on gentleman hermeticists to counter them. Explore uncharted lands and uncover relics and evils buried since the Great Flood. Follow your conscience and help the poor and powerless against those that would prey upon them. Wage war against the demons that have seduced the aristocracy and threaten to tear the Empire apart!

Victoriana offers an enormous and diverse game world deeply imbued with Victorian period feel, gothic fantasy magic and steampunk engineering.
