Produktbeschreibung

At first glance, The Last Exodus, Synister Creative Systems latest release will appeal to any potential "male" buyer. A beautiful woman with blaze red hair, toting a pistol and wearing nothing but a tatto on the cover of the book screams out to the testosterone in us all. Inside, you will find pictures of demons, angels, androids and aliens, presenting a truly creative marvel to the gaming world.

Players take on the role of Messiahs and Anti-Christs, as the story retells religious history, portraying Earth as spiritually dead world. It is the duty of the characters to bring as many humans into their religion as possible and deliver them to the Eden realm.

Unfortunately, all of the right-brain ideals portrayed in TLE are not all that is required to create a good RPG. The game uses playing cards in place of dice in, what appears to be, a sad attempt at reviving the game of War. Players draw cards and add the amount to their Attribute, also comparing the suit of the card to that of the trait, if the number exceeds the difficulty, they succeed. Of course, in a contested action, pitting two characters against each other, there are no difficulties, just the game of War. By the way, a corporate takeover is a contested action. "Watch out Bill Gates, you're about to lose Microsoft to Synister Creative Systems! They drew a King of Hearts!!

Again, the storyline is phenomenal work and should set an example for other RPGs. Also, the creative level involved in character creation and campaign possibilities is boundless. However, a grand total of four pages of rules, combined with countless typos, layout errors and an unplayable combat system makes TLE exactly what one fanatic told me it was, "...a good read."
