These brave infantry are assigned to protect their tank. Riding into battle on the back of their tank and driving back Fascist tank-killer squads. Contains: 5 two-part Tankodeseantniki teams.
It is often said that it takes a brave man not to be a Hero in the Red Army, but there is no doubt that the Tankodeseantniki are very brave indeed. These tough SMG armed infantry stick closely to their tanks ready to defend them against Fascist tank-hunting infantry. And this is despite the dangerous fire that the tanks inevitably attract.
In Flames Of War -
With these new specialist miniatures it's now much easier to represent your Tankodeseantniki on the back of your tanks, they sit easily on the engine deck of most Soviet tanks. They can also be used to represent normal infantry hitching a ride on your tanks.
Tankodeseantniki are, for all intents and purposes, part of the tank in Flames of War, they can't be shot at, or be assaulted or moved separately from the tank. They can however shoot at enemy teams separately from their tank, giving them Range 4"/10cm, ROF 1, AT 1 and FP 6.
In assaults they fight as an extra attack, giving each tank with Tankodeseantniki 2 attacks in assault combat.
Tankodeseantniki can shoot and fight in assaults even if their tank is bailed out, but if the tanks are all destroyed or bailed out in an assault the Company will still lose the assault despite Tankodeseantniki still being available.
If a Tankovy Company is pinned down, the Tankodeseantniki can fight and shoot but gain +1 to hit when shooting. |
