Produktbeschreibung

Major Alfred Becker, a First World War veteran and mechanical engineer, was heavily involved in the conversion of captured vehicles from 1940. Towards the end of 1942 he was transferred to France to devise ways of utilising various captured French vehicles.
Becker's engineering staff (Baustab Becker) set about their work and were soon pumping out a variety of innovative designs. From 1943 he started to convert the Hotchkiss H35 and 39 light tanks to mount a 7.5cm PaK40 or 10.5cm leFH16/18 as an assault gun. In the summer of 1943 he was given command of the 200. Sturmgeschützabteilung, part of the rebuilding 21. Panzerdivision, which he equipped with the new assault guns.

200. StuG Abteilung (200th Assault Gun Battalion) is unusual in being fully equipped with assault guns based on these captured French Hotchkiss H39 tanks. The armament is mounted in a large open-topped fighting compartment built over the engine deck of the tank. Despite their ad hoc appearance, they are well-armed and effective.

Weight: 12.5 tons
Crew: 4
Speed: 36 km/h
Engine: Hotchkiss 120 hp
Armament: 7.5cm PaK40 or 10.5cm leFH18, MG 42
Armour: 20 to 34mm

By the time of the Allied invasion in June 1944 Becker had built the StuG Abteilung up to five batteries of 10 vehicles (4x 7.5cm PaK40 and 6x 10.5cm leFH16 each).

In Flames Of War -
The 7.5cm (Sf) 39H and 10.5cm (Sf) 39H assault guns were unique to the 21. Panzerdivision. You can field them supporting other companies from the 21. Panzerdivision or as the core of a StuG Batterie.

They are not as robust as a StuG III or IV, but they are plentiful and well armed. They are Fully-tracked and have Front Armour 2, Side 2 and Top 0. They come armed with either a hull-mounted 7.5cm PaK40 gun (Range: 32"/80cm, ROF 2, Anti-tank 12, Firepower 3+) or a 10.5cm leFH16 gun (Range: 32"/80cm, ROF 2, Anti-tank 10, Firepower 2+). Additionally they are fitted with an AA MG.

They are Unreliable however, so you should be careful when you Double or moving thought rough terrain where failure to unbog may result in a break down.
