Um 12.30 Uhr, am Sonntag, dem 17.September 1944, begann die 82nd U.S. und 101st Airborne, zusammen mit der britischen 1st Airborne, das größte militäre Spiel des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Der strategische Preis war die Umgeheung der deutschen Rheinverteidigung. Air Bridge to Victory ist ein Spiel auf Battailonsebene, das sich auf diesen Konflikt konzentriert.

At 1230 hours on Sunday, September 17, 1944, the U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne, along with the British 1st Airborne, launched the greatest military gamble of World War II. The strategic prize was to outflank the German Rhine defense. Air Bridge To Victory is a battalion-level game focusing on this epic conflict.
